Returning to the UK
The Pet travel Scheme is overseen by Pets on Jets at Manchester

Please note this company only deal with Pets returning to this
country. To avoid your pet being quarantined, you have to comply
with the Pet Transfer scheme assuming your pet is flying into Manchester
airport from an approved country. This scheme allows dogs and cats
who have been microchipped, vaccinated against rabies and blood
tested at least 6 months beforehand, to return to the UK and having
received treatment for ticks and tapeworm within a 24 hour /48 hour
window of the return journey.
Taking your Pet Abroad
The Pet Transfer Scheme Passport is required for all EU countries
and a fit to fly certificate completed by your vet usually a couple
of days before travel. This certificate may only be valid for up
to 10 days. Each country asks for other treatments to have been
completed and the embassy for that country should be contacted.
